Born in a small village in Panyu, Guangdong, Kan Tai Keung went to Guangzhou to study as a teenager, and soon came to Hong Kong, starting as an apprentice and starting a history of struggle in life. From an apprentice tailor to an internationally renowned designer, his struggles encompass all kinds of twists and turns. He was a member of the group who emigrated to Hong Kong from the mainland in the 50s of the last century, and his footprints are a testament to Hong Kong's development over the past decades.
