Hong Kong Reminiscence: Document of Hong Kong’s Old Stores
Relic beauty is not only nostalgia, but also sublime.
Take a picture of the moment with the camera, write this second with words,
Preserve history and transform it into tangible memories.
"Hong Kong's Heritage: A Record of Hong Kong's Old Shops" is a collection of photographic essays. The author, Lin Xiaomin, visited 25 local traditional old shops, and the book is divided into four chapters, many of which belong to Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage, including traditional handicrafts and food culture.
This book explores the disappearing aesthetics of the city, emphasizing the importance of "intangible cultural heritage" and recalling the memory of the public through the "beauty" of intangible cultural heritage, hoping that readers will cherish the present.
