Stranger
"Pink petals glowing with happiness float through the air! It turns out that when you learn to plant happiness flowers with your own hands and bring a bag full of happiness to others, you are also sending happiness to yourself. Put on the mask, you and I are both strangers; Hiding your true emotions behind your back, but still longing to embrace happiness."
This is a fairy tale picture book for adults and children, the author tells a journey of happiness with dreamy and delicate paintings and almost extinct words. A stranger wearing a horse's head mask talks to his inner whale in the deep sea, drags a few quirky cats to follow, trying to bring the accidentally discovered flowers of happiness to people and save the lonely city.
The story is buried in the details of the pictures, breaking the boundaries of words, and the book is open to a wider imagination. Just like when it comes to happiness, you and I often have different interpretations.
In the production of paper books, special paper with no transparent bottom is used in order not to affect the delicate and translucent brushstrokes in the author's paintings.
